Had a very successful day at the Walton-Upon-Thames Car Boot sale!! I have a lot of interests in the cakes and sold almost everything! Towards the end, the cake started to melt so I had to pack up because it was compromising the quality and standard of my cakes! A lot of people thought that the cupcakes were fake because of how they looked which was very flattering!! Hopefully if the weather is not too bad next week, I shall be back to sell some more at £1 Each again. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience, tiring but very worth it!

cupcakes craziness*

- This week has been a cupcake crazy week!

Today I made a lemon and poppyseed cupcake! it came out really well, I found it a little too sweet for my liking so what I did was added raspberry in to give it a little umph! It turned out amazing! I made a fluffy frosting to go with it (made it a little sour so that it would go well with the sweet cakey bit)!!!

Yes! everyone is crazy about cupcakes at the moment and a lot of places are selling them for the sake of it! Some places sell the most beautiful ones but tastes.... well... not so nice! so this week I started coming up with mouth-watering recipes and combinations, testing it all out!! These cupcakes were standard recipes but I had to make big changes to it as it didnt have the texture I wanted. It was too sweet and too dry but now they melt in your mouth and sooooo heavenly to eat!

So this sunday, I shall head to a carboot sale to test the water and see how many I could sell!! I want to see how good it actually is!! It sure looks good enough to eat!

BROWNIE PARCEL*

A few days ago I had an order for 10 brownie slices and instead of putting them in normal plastic wrapping like most places do, I wanted to add a little personal touch to them. I wrapped them with baking parchment and finished it off with coloured tissue paper to give it a 'prettiness'! Now when I say pretty, it does not mean I want it to look better than it tastes but I think that packaging plays a big part in selling your products and I am a creative person so what is a girl to do?

I dont feel like I can hand my cakes over until I feel like I have done everything I can with them! Yes, to some it may be a little excessive wrapping individual brownie one by one but this is what I am all about! adding personal touches to delicious cakes and bringing happiness! Its labour intensive but my efforts go a long long way, im sure!

sweet tooth for chocolate?

I receieved all my baking ingredients this morning in the delivery. craziness!

It was mad seeing 20 kgs worth of chocolate! Definately going to be fun trying to divide it all into little bags!! Also I have got 2x 25kgs bags of sugar and many more!!! It's all very exciting!

Now I just need to find a good place to store everything, somewhere that all my chocolate goodies wont melt!

All my chocolates for baking are all Belgian chocolate and they tastes sooo good! I'm sure that now ive got some amazing quality stuff (70% Coco Solids) It does not get any better than this! my brownies are going to taste even better!! I am making some chocolate cheesecake for an order tonight so we will have to wait and see how it all turns out!

Trying out various recipes and making some slight changes to find the perfect combination of ingredients in order to make the most amazing Lemon and Poppy seed Muffin and add to the menu.
